Upon joining SCDF, you will be disrupted from all NSman (reservist) activities. The disruption will be revoked should you leave the Force subsequently.

For applicants who join SCDF before enlistment into Full-time National Service (FTNS), you are required to be in service with SCDF for a Minimum Term of Engagement (MTE) of five years. Upon completing the MTE, you will be deemed to have completed FTNS.
